1/2 cup SR flour
55g butter
2 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
pinch of salt
1 cup stewed apples (or desired stewed fruit)
Cream butter and sugar
add the egg to the mixture
add salt to flour
sift flour into mixture
mix well
Put warmed apples into small oven safe dish
add sponge mixture on top of apples
Cook for approx 25 mins at 180C
The sponge mixture should resemble cake mixture. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a splash of milk to thin it down
